Azienda Agricola Il Frantoio di Vicopisano, from Certified Biological Agriculture, owns on the nearby hill almost 3.000 olive oil trees of the "frantoio" variety which produce the extra virgin oil "Vicopisanolio – IGP Toscano Bio", our real pride; a large orchard with peach, pear and kiwi trees; a wood with pines where several wild boars live in the wild; a large vegetable garden where vegetables typical of Tuscany are grown; a large poultry farm under the olive oil trees with free-range hens and chickens.
The olive trees and the orchards are biologically cultivated with the use of mulch and, thanks to the matchless microclimate of Monte Pisano, their fruits are first-rate quality, and the production is rich. Harvest is done by hand, olives are detached from the trees, never come in contact with the ground and oil is produced in our oil mill within a few hours from the crop of the olives.
The extra-virgin Olive Oil "Vicopisanolio – IGP Toscano Bio", has a fine green-golden colour; if tasted when new, that is a few days after grinding, it is bright, sharp, pleasantly bitter in your mouth. Then, after a while, it rounds out and grows milder.
Azienda Agricola Il Frantoio di Vicopisano is a member of "Corporazione dei Mastri Oleari", and a founding member of Consorzio dell'Olio Toscano and Strada dell'Olio del Monte Pisano.

Thanks to the quality and the taste of our Oil, more and more Gourmet Guides and Magazines, Haute Cuisine Chefs and clients are fond of our products.
Our enthusiasm, will and seriousness have found several consents: in 2003 we have been awarded the Diploma di Gran Menzione in the category Fruttato Delicato of the XII International Competiotion LEONE D'Oro of Mastri Oleari, in 2005 we have been awarded the golden medal of the Los Angeles Country Fair Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition, and then in 2009 we got the First Prize in the BIO Category of the exhibition "PISA, unica terra…l’Olio".
